Teaching at HCA

We are always looking for artists and educators interested in teaching classes. Recent classes have included acrylic painting, watercolor, hand-built ceramics, block printing, mixed media/collage, drawing, stained glass, Ukrainian eggs, and more. Our classes are taught during the school year on SAT mornings. They are typically 2-hours long, 10:30am - 12:30pm; longer classes are possible.

Interested teachers should email Director@HutchinsonArts.org. Please include:

1) Your class idea: the medium & the project students will complete in class. [For example, a watercolor teacher has all students in the class paint the same 5”x7” greeting card teaching them wet & dry techniques to complete the project. A barn quilt teacher offers 3-4 patterns from which students choose one and then customize their color choices.]

2) The price you will charge HCA per student inclusive of your time, travel , tools, and supplies. While we have some basics in our closet, many unique classes require tools and supplies we do not own. [HCA will add a small fee on top of that to establish price paid by students.]

3) The minimum and maximum number of students you will teach. Our classroom can comfortably accommodate 20 students.
