Hutchinson Center for the Arts (HCA) was founded by a group of dedicated arts advocates wanting to create a place for all artists and arts organizations in Hutchinson to call home. HCA, organized in 2008, received 501(c)(3) status in 2009. It was built on a foundation of creative collaboration with educational programming and community outreach creating pathways for audiences and artists to connect through the arts.

COMMUNITY KNOWLEDGE SHARING
In a world of isolated screen-watching, we offer the irreplaceable experience of developing art skills from experts in real life, with real-time feedback, encouragement, and human connection. In addition, gallery exhibits and receptions featuring living artists create opportunities to connect directly with originators of art and learn the human stories behind their work.
LOCALLY-FOCUSED ECONOMY BASED ON ART
We make it possible for artists to thrive locally in a place where craft, commerce, and community come together and for neighbors to discover the hands and hearts behind the treasures they bring into their homes.
SUSTAINING THE NON-PROFIT ECOSYSTEM
We are the backbone for small arts organizations providing 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, donor tax-deductibility, insurance, and marketing help they need to survive but may not afford independently.
