The Hutchinson Center for the Arts is proud to announce the creation of the Annual Wirt Award.
The Art Center will begin recognizing an outstanding local citizen for his or her commitment to building community through the arts each year at the Annual Night for the Arts.
The award is named after Tom Wirt, one of several visionaries who helped bring the Hutchinson Center for the Arts to life. Tom understood the power of sharing resources and using the arts to strength community. The result is a thriving arts hub with a wide range of vibrant arts groups helping to entertain and inspire artists and audiences.
In this inaugural year of the award the Board and staff is honored to recognize Tom Wirt.
Please join us on February 2nd for the Annual Night for the Arts; an evening inspired by the painting A Starry Night and filled with entertainment, and a chance to toast (and gently roast) Tom.
