New Executive Director for HCA Announced

LisaHutchinson Center for the Arts (HCA) is pleased to announce the hiring of an Executive Director, Lisa Bergh. Lisa will start the position effective, Monday, April 6th. Please make a point to meet Lisa and welcome her to HCA. She can be reached at the Center, 320-587-7278 or the director email.

About Lisa Bergh:

Lisa can best be summarized as an experienced, enthusiastic, creative artist who just happens to have a knack for inventing, growing and managing arts projects and organizations. When she hasn’t had an organization to work with, she has invented her own unique art projects.

After earning a BFA (Printmaking and Photography), at the University of Arizona, followed by an MFA in Spatial Arts at San Jose State University, CA, she and her husband Andrew settled in the Milwaukee area for jobs at the Brinn Children’s Museum and the First Stage Childrens Theater. Experience here included fund development through the management of annual giving campaigns, corporate sponsorship & stewardship, grant writing, special event planning, and volunteer management.

They ultimately landed in the New London, MN area where, besides jobs, they founded the very unique Art House out of their own home, hosting 3 shows a year of widely varied art and art projects and most recently started and managed an interactive art project called The Travelling Museum. Besides self-invented projects, she has served on a number of organization boards, grant panels and received individual artist development grants, taught at St. Cloud State and Ridgewater, and most recently been appointed to the Public Art Site Selection Committee for the Minnesota National Guard at Camp Ripley. She has been very active throughout the State on Minnesota, serving on panels, speaking and teaching about the arts and advocating for bringing more art into our everyday lives.

Lisa, husband Andrew and their 2 children currently live in the world, and located in New London, MN.
