There is a dynamic power house of leadership driving the Hutchinson Center for the Arts. Our Board of Directors is comprised of community members from all backgrounds who are passionate about building a strong arts community. It is my honor as Executive Director to work with each of them.
Each month I will be introducing this team of extraordinary Arts Advocates helping to support our creative community which is vibrant, inclusive, and a vital part of the local economy. With their leadership and vision Hutchinson has become a regional hub for arts and culture.
Jody Runke is a Hutchinson native and joined the Hutchinson Center for the Arts Board in 2018 and currently serves as secretary. Jody enjoys making people laugh as a member of the No Lines Improv Troupe. She also participates in the Hutchinson Theatre Company’s productions. Jody is an avid photographer and enjoys dabbling in other art forms as well. She thinks the arts are important for everyone, no matter if it’s creating or observing. She thinks that the programs offered at the Hutchinson Center of the Arts are important for all members of the community.
Jody is an active member of Christ the King, playing bells and singing in the choir. In the summer one of her favorite things is to judge 4-Hers and their projects. She judges multiple project acres at several counties and the State Fair. She likes to share the judging experience with the kids and watch them learn through the conversations they have, the same way she learned from judges when she was in 4-H.
Jody is a Customer Support Specialist at SoilView, LLC and has been working there for 16 years. When she isn’t at work she enjoys spending time with family and friends, spoiling her niece and nephew, and reading.
