Oil Painting Class

November 18, 2012 @ 1:00 am - 9:00 pm

Jutta Karin Schultz will teach an oil painting class for beginners and intermediate painters, for adults, Sunday, Nov. 18th  beginning at 1 p.m. at the art center. Each student will choose how long they wish to stay and paint with Karin. The class will be open until 9 p.m., at the latest, for a possible max of 8 hours of instruction time.

Class fee is $70 per student. Each student is to bring their own oil paints, brushes, and two glass jars with lids. Instructor will supply a canvas.

Paint colors should be Ultramarine blue or Prussian Blue, Alizarin Crimson, Cadmium Yellow Pale, Cadmium Yellow Medium, Van Dyke Brown or Burnt Umber, and Payne’s Gray and a Large tube(150ml) of Titanium White. The instructor highly recommends that students buy good quality paints such as Grumbacher Academic, or Wi. However, this is not required to take the class. If students do not have all the suggested colors, they can still take the class.

Each student will be able to take home at least one painting done in class. This class is for those who want to learn to oil paint and for those who would like to continue advancing from the past beginning class held at the art center.

Pre registration and payment required. Stop into the art center at 15 Franklin St. SW (across from the police station) or mail a check made out to HCA for $70 to HCA, PO Box 667, Hutchinson, MN 55350.
